EU Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Licensing and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH for short) has been officially implemented. According to regulatory requirements, the European Commission will establish a unified chemical monitoring and management system. Compared with the various directives implemented by the EU in recent years, REACH regulation has a wider scope of influence. It includes about 30000 chemical products in the EU market and their downstream textile, light industry, pharmaceutical and other products into three management monitoring systems, namely, registration, evaluation and licensing. Products not included in this management system cannot be sold in the EU market. REACH is the EU regulation on the preventive management of all chemicals entering its market.
RoHS is a mandatory standard formulated by EU legislation. Its full name is the Restriction of Hazardous Substances. This standard has been officially implemented since July 1, 2006. It is mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, making them more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The standard aims to eliminate lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (note: the correct Chinese name of PBDE refers to polybrominated diphenyl ethers, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers is a wrong statement) in electrical and electronic products, a total of 6 substances, and focuses on stipulating that the content of cadmium should not exceed 0.01%.
